the afterlife of you and me

$50.00

This is a careful rendering of an archaeological site at a Neolithic tomb near Mantua, Italy, which was discovered in 2007. These remains are roughly 6,000 years old! Nicknamed “The Lovers of Valdaro”, the pair is a young male and a young female, both around 20 years of age, who were likely buried in this position. The skeletons are accompanied by a few flint weapons, but the bones bear no signs of trauma or violent death, which seems to indicate that these weapons were grave goods instead.

This piece was done in pen and ink on high quality drawing paper, scanned, and then reprinted at 9x12 on environmentally friendly Hahnemühle bamboo paper.

Prints are signed and numbered. They ship as readily as I can manage in flat mailers and are protected in a clear plastic sleeve. Any buckling that you see is a totally normal effect of printing - it can be solved by placing the print under something large, heavy, and flat for a couple days, and it will not interfere in any way with framing. If you live in the Denver area, I am willing to orchestrate a handoff in a public location.
